Hope and Chance

He had innumerable chances in life. But he did not do anything about them.

This reminds me of famous statement by Abraham Lincoln, "...and perhaps my chance shall come".
There are people who wait for that one chance all their lives, and some lose it over and over again.

Here's Pratham losing all that he had and waiting desperately for another chance, with all hope.

"Our lives improve only when we take chances and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves.”
